You should be an Administrator of the device and know how to connect, disconnect and forget (remove) wi-fi networks.
Before continuing
Remove any pre-existing eduroam configuration.
Remove any other NBI Wi-Fi networks: guest, nbiconf and NBI Events.
For authorised UEA users in the Centrum and QI Building only, please click on the button below to access the UEA eduroam setup system.
Please remove the wireless network eduroam setup at the end of the setup process.
Your eduroam identity and password is:
Identity: @nbi.ac.uk
Password: Your_NBI_Password (This is always your current password used to login to an NBI computer or your e-mail.)
You will now be taken to 'one-time' setup instructions for your device - these will detail where you use your eduroam identity and password.

To setup eduroam on Windows Mobile:

Record these eduroam connection details for later use: (replace text in italics with your details)

Delete the eduroam setup network.
Connect to the eduroam network - using your record (from step 1) enter the settings and Connect. 1 (When asked during connection accept only radius0.nbi.ac.uk or radius1.nbi.ac.uk)

You can configure eduroam manually.
If your device can already access the Play Store over data or other WiFi, you can easily add eduroam using the eduroam CAT app.

To setup eduroam on Linux:
Ensure that you have the WPA_Supplicant package installed (most modern Linux versions will have this)
Run the eduroam Config (CAT) Tool, it will select the NBI configuration (manually select NBI if not)1
Click [OK] to clear the disclaimer
Enter as username @nbi.ac.uk
Enter your nbipassword (twice)
Click [Next] to complete the install
(When you are prompted with a security warning to install the nbi certificate, select 'Yes'.)
Now forget the eduroam setup network (you do not want to connect to it again).

To setup eduroam on Android:
This requires a lock screen 1

Install this NBI security certificate When asked enter:

Now forget the eduroam setup network (you do not want to connect to it again).
Connect to the eduroam network - using your record (from step 1) enter the basic and advanced settings and Connect. 2

To setup eduroam on Android using eduroam CAT app:
This requires a lock screen 1

Connect your device to the Internet (3G, 4G, Wi-Fi etc.) and using Android Play Store search for and install the eduroam CAT app by 'GEANT Association'
If you have no internet, go back here.
Open the eduroam CAT app, Wait for the it to list 'Nearby Configs'.
Click on 'Norwich BioScience Insitutes Partnership' in the 'Nearby Configs' list (Use the Manual Search facility if it is not listed).
Click [Install] and click 'Yes' in the 'Install Profile' dialog.
When asked enter:
Username @nbi.ac.uk Password nbipassword
Click [Install] to complete the install.
The status detailed will change as the app connects to eduroam.
(If you do not connect re-enter your details and click [Install] again.)
Once connected the app can be closed.
Now forget the eduroam setup network (you do not want to connect to it again).

Go into the Settings app and click on "profile downloaded" (which should be an option near the top)
When prompted for username, enter @nbi.ac.uk
Once the profile has been installed, go into settings/wi-fi, click on the ⓘ next to eduroam setup and choose Forget this network.
You can now connect to eduroam in settings/wi-fi

Adjust Network preferences for your browser. [Wifi in taskbar -> Open network preferences -> Select Advanced] Under the Proxies tab -> deselect "Auto Proxy Discovery".
